Are the above Hotels all too expensive for you, but you'd still like to come? Be our guest! We have rented a clubhouse from a local motor club, where approx. 20 people can drink, sleep and have breakfast. Unfortunately, the clubhouse does not have showers, but brings all the other comforts tou need. You will need to bring your own sleeping gear (airbed, mat, sleeping bag, etc). If you come by train/plane we will arrange for transportation to and from the clubhouse. If you come by car you can follow us or follow instructions. Available nights are Saturday to Sunday and Sunday to Monday. If the 20 spots are taken, you can bring a tent to be put up on Club grounds.
An impression of this very comfortable, luxurious establishment:

If you would like to stay at the clubhouse, please register as such. First come, first serve! But please, do not register for the clubhouse if you could manage to pay for a Hotel. As availability is limited we'd like to have those in direst need to have the opportunity to sleep there.
Sleeping at the clubhouse will cost 10,- Euro for both nights. The clubhouse will have drinks and foods for sale at reasonable prices, all through the night.
Rules
Main event Rules
40/40 Lotus legal decks, with legality up to the Khan's Defiance expansion. 45 minutes swiss rounds. 90 minutes time check, 120 minutes max. best of 3 elimination rounds, bracketed, with twisted Palmer Rule in effect. Ties (double losses) will be awarded during any event when time is called and a result is unreported after 2 minutes. Swiss rounds and side events have passive-judging. Top 16/8 has semi-active judging. Top 4/2 has active judging.
Twisted Palmer Rule:
- If time is reached (90 minutes) in game 1, game 1 is allowed to continue 30 minutes. The winner of the match is the winner of game 1. Undecided games will then be awarded a tie.
- If time is reached (90 minutes) in game 2, the winner of the match is the winner of game 1.
- If time is reached (90 minutes) in game 3, game 3 is allowed to continue 30 minutes. Undecided games will then be awarded a tie.
Tips: Concede games that appear lost as soon as you're certain. Report a stalling opponent; stalling will be rewarded with warnings: 3 warnings = game-loss.
Side event Rules
Saturday Evening: Master of Beer
Regular 40/40 Lotus legal decks. Players are seated at 4 player tables, to play a Multiplayer game. Every player will be given 4 beers and a special Sensei card (can be played next to your regular Sensei). These beers represent your provinces. Whenevr another player eliminates one of your provinces, he gets to drink your beer. Remeber: Removing a player by dishonor = destroying all his provinces! If a player wins by Honor, Bushido or Enlightenment, he is removed from the game, keeping all his remaining beers for his score. A Ratling player starts his score at 1, because he still receives 4 beers. The winner of the table does not have to be the last man standing, as the winner of the table is the one who won the most beers. Only beers you drank yourself count towards your score. Provinces gained during a game get beers added to them, bought by the creator of the province. Participation costs the price of 4 beers.
Table winners are re-seated to play at a final multi-player table. The winner of the event will be he who in total drank the most beers, and will be given the prestigeous title of Master of Beer!
Saturday Evening and Sunday Afternoon: Titanium Highlander
- Titanium means: All cards with the ‘new’ card back are legal to play. This means all cards released from the Spirit Wars expansion until now. This includes Sensei, Strongholds, Promos, etc.
- Highlander means: During deck construction, you may include each and every card only one time (1x) just as you would an Event/Region/Unique. This rule ONLY affects deck construction, never play situations (your cards do not count as unique during games). The term Highlander comes from the cult movie, with its quote of: ‘There can be only one!’
- 40/40 means: Your deck has a minimum size of 40 fate and 40 dynasty cards. You may include more cards, but not less. Yes, that means you need to find 80 different cards to build a deck! Enjoy!
Additional points of interest for Titanium Highlander:
- MRP rule: For all cards goes that the Most Recent Printing is the legal one to play! This is checked by card title (excluding exp. levels) so for example you may only play Lotus Edition Elemental Rings and either Lotus Edition or Gold Edition wind cards (Diamond Edition winds have the same names as LE winds).
- Lotus Edition rules: We play using the Lotus Edition rules. Unlike before, events can resolve for each player, among some other changes. This also means that all actions are Once per Turn on default, unless the action clearly states another timing mechanism. Some are clear, such as ‘once per Battle’ but for some other cards the players are required to use some common sense. This is because we are using many old cards that have very different wordings. A good example of this is the personality Radakast exp.2 from KYoD, whose battle action, by the strictest use of LE rules, would only be useable once. However, as this card was made during the times an action could be used any number of times, Radakast’s ability may be used the way it is written: Any number of times per turn, restricted by his Chi.
- Double Chi: To keep the dueling field fairer, considering we are using LE focus pools, all instances of the ‘Double Chi’ trait on cards are magically replaced by ‘Duelist’. For example, Kaneka would read as a 5/6 -/14/2 Phoenix Clan Samurai* Shogun* Duelist* Tactician* Unique.
- Ancestors: The Lotus edition Rules do not mention Ancestors, but as they are legal in Titanium, we are instead using the Diamond Edition rules for them.
- In this Format, the same Unique card can enter play for both players. If at any time one player would own two versions of the same Unique card, he has to destroy one immediatly. For example, both players can bring out Hantei, but if one player would somehow end up controlling 2 Hantei cards (excluding Egg of P'an Ku, due to the rulings on the Egg) then that player destroys one of them. This would basicly make Unique function as Singular, but with the deck restriction of 1 instead of 3.
If you have questions about Titanium Highlander, you are welcome to ask them by mailing faber@brz.nu and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
During this weekend, your scores for Titanium Highlander will be carried across both days. The winner will be the player who totalled the most wins during the entire weekend. Titanium Highlander events will be held on Sauturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
Boosterdraft
For those of you unfamiliar with booster draft, an explanation will be given at the tournament. This side event is free of charge, given enough participants.
If there is enough interest, we are able to host Booster drafts all through the weekend. Just get 8 people together and we'll provide the boosters and a table.
*Please bring your own Draft Packs (Nanashi Mura etc.) as at this time it is unclear if the Kotei kits include any.*
